“The
Melbourne punch, made every attempt to embarrass the Victorian police
by producing such comics as the one to the left. The four sections
display many different cartoon police unsuccessfully attempting to
catch the Kellys, the gang are cheekily tapping the police on the back
and so forth” |

MANY comics have been published over
the last 100 years, some like the first three, were published
while the gang was still on the run. The Melbourne punch, showed
the Kellys considerable respect for their bravery, unlike, the
Sydney punch, whom showed a rather bitter look at the gang. Please
enjoy the following comics, and have a good laugh.
