" There were a few ' False alarms ' along the beaten bush land, track, but after some patience, and driving, we arrived at the original site, of the homestead. It was the most lovely country, I had ever seen, more lovely than the view from police caves at Woolshed, more lovely than the remains of the Kelly Homestead, and even more lovely than the view from Mount Morgan in Glenrowan "-

On Tuesday, October first, My mother, step dad, and myself, headed to the homestead site of Faithful's creek, owned by  the Younghusbands, and was used by Joe and the gang to hold their prisoners, while the bank robbery of Euroa, was under way.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The drive, to Euroa, from my home in Glenrowan, went fairly quick, some sleeping was the go, for the energy to store for the up-coming excitement. We chased the directions, we had, and cloaked, on Ian Jones's a Short life, for the directions, on the correct length of miles, exactly three and a half miles, out of Euroa.

We spent some time at the site, looking through the remaining rubble of what was more than likely, the old bridge, to cross the creek. To think that Joe had once, squinted in the sun here, while Ned, Dan and Steve went into town to rob the National bank branch at Euroa.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On leaving we followed the exact route the gang would have taken into Euroa, passing by the bank site, and continuing our way out of town. This spot in the fine Byrne Country, has left etched on my heart, it was the most un-touched site, of the Kelly gang saga. Most recommended.
