book is absolutely fantastic! Even knowing that it's fiction, you may
be under the impression ' Oh-No, not more of Carey's crap ' But wait!
you are running a mile away from a fantastic, well written and most of
all correct fictional book on the Kelly gang”

that! incoming criticism! I hate to flog the dead horse, but
personally I hate this book, it's is terrible. For one aspect,
is the title, The TRUE History, come on! when
it's nothing but a load of FICTION. Secondly,
Carey claims that he got his inspiration, from Joe and Ned's
                Jerilderie
Letter, can I ask one question? In the name of
god, where in Joe and Ned's writing does it say that: Dan
and Steve were homosexual with each other, and wore women's
                    clothes. Also,
Ned's father was a cross dresser? Where in the

                Jerilderie
                    letter
do you get a glimpse of these events? I wouldn't use this book,
well, basically for anything. Enough said!....

                "
The normally peaceful village of Milltown, is in the grips
of a Bushranger epidemic, and no business is safe " This
is the first line on the blurb of Ned Kelly's helmet. Four
                    children, have a assignment-bushranger month-pretend your
a bushranger. The Mc Googly gang, armed and dangerous, charge
to the Old Melbourne Gaol, to try to steal Ned's (really
Dan's) helmet. Eventually, they head back in time, to the
Last stand at Glenrowan and win the assignment. All summed
up the book was very enjoyable, the author Stafford, threw
the police brutality into some light during the siege into retrospect.
